Not long ago, we discussed Vamosa’s work in the Enterprise Content Governance (ECoG) field and their new Check and Fix tool.

Recently, the vendor extended its Check and Fix functionality to cater more to eDiscovery and web records management scenarios.

Web governance can be tricky, even with a formal approach in place. That’s why we have tools to help us out. Vamosa Check and Fix can be used for multi-domain/multi-author website monitoring and reporting; and fixing issues with compromised standards, that are checked against a set of standard and custom measurement points. They can include HTML standards, compliance, branding and governance.

Vamosa’s Check and Fix is one of the tools on the market that can be used to take a snapshot every time content changes, providing a full audit trail. This version of the tool is sold at an additional license charge based on the volume of content monitored.

It’s a non-stop flow of news from Autonomy these days. Most recently, the company announced the integration of its document management product, iManage WorkSite, with Autonomy’s workflow.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that the new module — iManage Workflow Manager — is built on Autonomy’s meaning-based technology.

The notions of web and enterprise content governance are gaining more and more attention — partially, due to growing concerns around eDiscovery and other compliance challenges. Everyone has some sort of content (and its volumes are growing at the speed of light), but do you have standards, policies and procedures around it? How do you enforce them?

According to Archer, Vamosa started to recognize the overall state of unhappiness with content while they were doing what they are traditionally know for – content migrations and content analysis. While enterprise content tends to be driven by content quality and governance principles, many organizations often end up with content that is not accessible, not cost-controlled and not findable.

The challenge many organizations face is compliance (or lack of it) with internal and external policies and regulatory standards. This is exactly the challenge Vamosa is trying to address with its new product called Check & Fix.

It is only logical to continue embrace the customer base by providing a full range of applications and legal industry expertise to support law firms’ business practices. Automation of e-mail filing, as part of e-mail lifecycle management, requires specific tools along with integration with e-mail clients like MS Outlook.

Open Text is in the full swing of things following a slew of announcements at the Open Text Content World conference. This time, it’s a new eDiscovery product in partnership with Recommind, a provider of enterprise search and eDiscovery solutions, to offer a new product called Open Text eDiscovery Early Case Assessment.

The solution promises to minimize the need for third-party processing and help control the high costs of legal reviews by culling irrelevant information before it goes for review by outside counsel.
